Guenther Straub from Austria concentrates on hands: by profession, he is a surgeon, specialized in hands, and as a hobby, he performs Harlem Stride Piano very seriously. His preference for this swinging, elegant music style doesn’t keep him from side stepping into Boogie Woogie, where he also expresses himself with great virtuosity. Guenther’s friendship with French pianist Jean-Pierre Bertrand lead to frequent performances in France.
