Gottfried Böttger
Gottfried was a stalwart of the Hamburg music scene. His role as the first pianist of the Panikorchester, which he co-founded waith Udo Lindenberg, or his playing with Skiffle group Leinemann are unforgotten, like his musical contributions to the TV talk show "3 nach 9" from the start of the show in 1974 for 40 years until 2014. He also composed film music. Gottfried was by no means just interested in music, he specialized in computers as well and became professor for media didactic at the universities of Koethen and Hamburg. His musical trademark was his powerful, dynamic touch. The versatile pianist was at home in Ragtime and Boogie Woogie as well as in Gospel or Blues. Since 1996 he was part of the regular members of "The Hamburg Boogie Woogie Connection".
Sadly, Gottfried passed away in October, 2017.
One of the regulars since The Hamburg Boogie Woogie Connection since 1996.
